September 2021 — LONG DELAYS ON REPAIRS & CORRESPONDENCE

We've been experiencing long delays on repairs since the end of 2020. Regrettably, it looks like this will continue for the foreseeable future. You can expect multiple week delays for repair lead times.

Also, our previously short response times for returning calls and emails has grown tremendously. It's best, at this point, to EMAIL US with requests for information or technical issues. Should you like to hear from us about technical issues, please include a phone number and specify your locale so we may call you, if necessary.

Please accept our apologies for this on-going long lead-time situation and THANK YOU to all who've been kind enough to stick with us during these trying times.

12 October 2016 — U.S. DOE REGULATIONS IMPACT RNC/RNLA POWER SUPPLY USAGE & AVAILABILITY

Due to U.S. Department of Energy regulations, the wall-transformer that we've used for 20 years has been banned from continued importation into the United States. Because of this, the RNC & RNLA internal power supplies have been re-designed to permit operation from the newly-mandated “Level VI” power supply.  Be aware that this modified version of the RNC and RNLA are marked, and should be used with, this new “Level VI” 12VDC (@500mA) power supply! Older RNC's and RNLA's are marked, and should be used with, a 9VAC (@500mA) power supply. In either case, the rear panel marking indicates the required power supply for that unit. For more information about this regulation:

By this regulation, we are no longer allowed to purchase new 9VAC power supplies. However, there are some U.S. vendors who still have adequate stock levels (e.g., www.jameco.com). If you are having problems obtaining the older, 9VAC power supply, please contact us for assistance!
